What if today you had the opportunity to gain more or to re-discover the confidence that you knew always lied within you? Would you take the opportunity to transform your life? Or would you allow the opportunity to slip away from you within a blink of an eye? Okay, enough questions. I'm sure you have made the right decision by now. Allow me the chance to give you a little bit of my story, and a few tips to gaining or rediscovering the confidence that you deserve to share with world...

I started my blogging journey here on the internet of course months after I graduated high school. I knew that at 19 I wanted to be a voice heard all over the world. I was always in my journals with an ink pen at hand jotting down my emotions and thoughts about life. One day when I was packing up my things to move from my home town I found one of my old notebooks. I immediately opened it and to my eyes, I opened my notebook up to one of the pages that I had wrote in red ink. I took a seat on the edge of my bed and started to silently read a suicide letter that I wrote to myself and family when I was fifteen. When I was fifteen, I no longer thought that life was worth living. I was bullied every day I went to school, tormented by girls who wanted to see me dead, stalked by guys who were no good for me, and growing up in a home that I didn't feel loved in.

Back then, I wanted to just be done with life all together. That was until, I met this incredible social worker that was named Ms. Yolanda. I met her at my middle school and she became my personal mentor. She was a beautiful and confident black woman who believed in me! There was something very special about her present as if she was God sent in my life. She believed in me and my talent to become a world-wide known author and writer. The faith that this woman had in me was a faith that my own family didn't have in me. She instilled a confidence in me that made me feel like I was worth something to the world. I am now 23 and her words, "The world is much bigger than Napoloeonville." Are still embedded in me.

I am actually still alive to say that she was in fact telling the truth. I learned over these years that my life's worth living.

My God made no mistakes when he created me. I also learned that HE is using me to encourage others to keep living no matter how difficult times may get. Suicide is NOT THE ANSWER. Suicide actually leaves your love ones still questioning, why?

I just want you to know that YOU are more than just a person with time on their hands. You are worth being happy. You are worth the next breath that you shall take. You have purpose in this world. There is someone who loves you oh so much and there are people lives that you will impact. What you have to give to this world is the best version of you. The legacy that you will leave behind came only be create one God given day at a time. There will be times that you will have to be your very own cheerleader and that's okay! Not everyone is going to want to be in your company or believe in that dream you may be harvesting deep inside of you. LET GO of what you think will keep you from being successful in life and EMBRACE IT! Whatever it is embrace it. Work on giving yourself little pep talks during the day, even if people will think you look crazy! Smile more or at least try to make others smile (they can be complete strangers.)

Give off vibes that you want to receive from the universe! Embrace your beautiful struggle. Love and manifest what makes you uniquely you! Discover that inner strength to love yourself past your short comings, imperfections, or pain. Don't burn bridges with folks just becuase they don't understand who you are becoming. Allow your life to be about discovery, impacting others, inspiring, loving, and more positive things. There you go smiling. Allow what you just read to sink in. I knew you had it in you. Live life and don't allow life to run you scared while you living it.

Here is a few Bible verses about STRENGTH that keeps me empowered KJV:

Deuteronomy 31:6 - Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he [it is] that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Matthew 6:33 - But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Isaiah 40:31 - But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.

Psalms 31:24 - Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
