I wanted to finally share with you all my skincare journey with the hopes of inspiring someone else to not be afraid to embrace their flaws. I have been suffering with hormonal acne ever since I was a pre-teenager. My skin in this photo was taken on January 29th, 2016. On January 29th, the day before my birthday I made a vow to myself to take better care of my skin. During the span of these 7 months my skin has been on an uphill battle of staying clear. Here are 5 ways that I have learned to combat my hormonal acne before it flares up during that time of the month. (Ladies, you know how mother-nature can be so disrespectful to our skin.)

Here is my top 5 skin savers.

1. Drink More Water. Drink water without ceasing.

I truly advise drinking more water. I don't mean two water bottles a day to kick start a hydrated body and clear skin. I recommend at least 1 liter of water a day. I try to do at least three to five during the week. Drinking more water will help your skin.

I love Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar With The 'Mother' has helped me fight my sugar cravings. It also helps me to cut back on eating too much in a day. I place one to two tablespoons in every bottle of water or even in my H2O on the go Jr. every other day. I started taking apple cider vinegar around the month of April and never turned back since.

I started actually using sulfur soap early in 2014 and it was like discovering a hidden jewel. When I started using the sulfur soap my acne scarring was horrible and my chin area was completely darker than my entire face. Sulfur soap truly helped and still helps me to keep my skin from being too oily. I have combination skin and I can truly say that using sulfur soap has improved my skin drastically. I also re-up on the soap from Ebay.

Yogi Skin Detox Tea has been a go to for me. It hasn't aid in clearing my skin completely, but it has given me a radiant glow. The ingredients are as follows:

Burdock Root, Cardamom Seed, Dandelion Root, Green Tea Leaf, Hibiscus Flower, Honeybush, Orange Peel, Oregon Grape Root, Red Clover, Rose Petal, Stevia Leaf, Yellow Dock Root, Natural Rose Flavor, Organic Pomegranate Flavor

It tastes better cold and it is refreshing. I recommend this tea to anyone who wants to sport a healthy glow.

I do recommend talking to your doctor before starting any probiotic. I started taking acidophilus and my skin changed for the better! Below you will see what my skin looks like as of today. It took me two weeks for my body to get use to taking the probiotic. I won't lie. When I first started acidophilus I had a whole lot of gas and I was peeing every fifteen minutes. My body started getting use to the probiotic and my skin started to clear up within two weeks. If you are a woman who suffers from yeast infections this probiotic can help you too.

Acidophilus is a friendly bacteria naturally found in the intestinal tract. More than 400 species of bacteria, also called normal flora, live in the adult human GI tract. Acidophilus is stomach-friendly and supports overall well-being.

My skin as of July 23 2016

Today, I found my inner strength to reveal my imperfections with you. If you try any of these 5 ways to combat adult acne helpful, then please let me know. I would love to talk to you! Having acne doesn't make you less appealing to the eye. Don't allow anyone to make you feel like you should hide your bare face from the world. I am 23, and I am embracing my bare skin to world.

There is always someone out there in this world who skin is worst than yours and isn't afraid to show it to the world. Be brave and find better ways to improve not only your skin, but your overall health.
