I’ve been there. Bird baths in gas station sinks in the early morning with crust in my eyes trying to properly refresh myself as a homeless woman. In life, some of us can find ourselves in situations we never imagined.

Being single doesn't mean you're incomplete. Learning how to be alone but not lonely is the real flex. You don’t have to ever feel as if you are waiting for someone to sweep you off your feet.

Life has a way of taking you through all sorts of emotions. You are in control of how you react to all that comes to destroy your peace or add to your happiness. There are moments of joy and excitement. There are also times when it feels like the world is collapsing around you.

As a 30-year-old single mom of two beautiful children, August 2023 has been a month of profound learning and self-discovery. I have been juggling the responsibilities of parenthood while rediscovering my own identity.
