This September has left me speechless! I’m sitting here in awe and gratitude because She’s Found Strength just crossed over 20,000 reads this month. When I started this blog back in 2016, I never imagined it would grow into a space where thousands of women and men would stop by each month to read my story! There are people that reflect on my journey, feel moved from my blog posts, and find encouragement in my words.

September came with its own understanding for lessons, challenges, and a steady reminder that growth is never comfortable. I learned how to keep my journey to myself more than outspoken and shared with others.

Oh, baby it is about to start getting cold outside! If there’s one thing I’ve learned as a mom, a teacher’s assistant, and a woman with a lot on her plate is that it’s that preparation is everything. Right now the year is almost coming to a close and it is way too often when it feels as if the holidays sneak up on us. I can see and understand how it can bring stress instead of joy. This year, I’ve promised myself to be intentional. I am talking about not just with my money, but with my mindset.

October 2nd will mark my first month into the role as an assistant teacher. I have been getting a lot of DMs and emails about what I do as well. Since stepping into my new role as a teacher’s assistant I have also been subbing for 6th and 7th graders.

This month I started my job as a teacher’s assistant. This role has been a completely new experience for me. I have never substituted. I have never worked in a classroom before, so everything about this role has been brand new. In just two weeks, I’ve learned so much! Plus, what I learned was not just about the students, but about myself and how I carry myself in this environment.
