This entire month of May has taught me to not give up on any goals that I once placed on the back burner. I'm determined to accomplish the goals that once believed were not possible.

Many people have been lied to and told that their dreams and goals aren't realistic or attainable. Some of those people chose to believe the lies exposed and dipped in a sugar-coated liquid deception.

I was once one of those many people. When I was in high school, I dream of becoming the first person from my immediate family to go to college and graduate.

Going to college was one thing, and achieving my degree was another.

I decided that I wasn't going to tell many people my business involving my dream of going back to college this year. I'm a wife and stay at home mom of an almost 2-year-old. I haven't been in college for now 3 years.

I placed achieving my degree on hold. During these past three years, I held down part-time jobs, remained consistent with YouTube uploads and blogging, and helped many other people grow closer to Jesus Christ. I also had procrastined and made many unnecessary excuses.

I'm still growing in every area of my life. I desire more to fuel my passions. I'm going to be a full-time online college student this fall. It's a big deal for me! I even half-assed my first semester of community college.

As a matter of fact, I half-assed many things in these past 3 years of sitting out. I half-assed myself, and I'm woman enough to admit this openly.

When I told a few people that I was going back to college, a few of them were excited for me. The others popped the questions. One of the most popular of all was, "How you're going to go back to online college with your son at home with you?"

I told them that it's possible. Nobody will no longer have the power to talk me out of trying to better my life. I'm a momma now. There's no way I'm going to be a selfish goal achiever or dreamer.

Don't let anyone tell you that you don't have what it takes as if they know what you are worth. These dream killers will drag you for filth behind closed doors regardless of what you do. Even if they break, your wings do not forget that you have claws. Use your claws to the best of your abilities to stride forward. We are almost halfway through 2019! What are you doing to get closer to your dreams this year?
