You Should Never Be Ashamed Of How You Make A Living

My momma always told me and my lil’ sister that if we ever feel ashamed about how we make our money no matter where we at in life then we shouldn't be doing it. I was 17 years old and working my first job at Popeyes in Plattenville, Louisiana. I was working every few days out the week 4 pm until closing, especially on the weekends.

My Lymphedema Will Not Hold Me Back

When I found out I was pregnant in February of 2017, I cried tears of joy. I immediately knew that my husband and I were about to become parents and our lives were going to change. Within the change that was happening suddenly in our lives already, so was my secondary lymphedema in my ankles and primarily in my left foot.

A Meaningful Father's Day Experience

When I was growing up my two siblings and I would make it our mission to gift our mother something for Father's Day. All three of us have different fathers. My biological father was deceased. My sister's suppose father is now deceased and our younger brother's father is a deadbeat. My siblings and I never experienced love or the proper guidance that could have come from our Father figure. Our mother was always putting herself down talking about how nobody wants her because she's not any spring chicken.

A Prayer To Increase Your Faith

There will be days that your faith will be place to the test. Keeping a very open prayer life with God can help you through many of your darkest moments.
