When I moved from my very small hometown of Napoloeonville to the West Bank of New Orleans, I became a tourist. I had the passion with-stored within me to travel whether or not I was on my two feet, public transportation, a cab, or right-along-side my hubby in his car. I didn't let now having a car hold me back from seeing and experiencing life. I was determined to see whatever the hell, I knew I was destined to see. I'm going to tell you this. I was an avid RTA bus catcher. I have slowed down a bit with taking the bus in the pass year, but I can honestly say that catching the bus in the city is truly humbling experience. I just wanted to share my experience of being splashed by cars while at the bus stop trying to make it back home.

Girl, look at that chocolate cake! It's about to go down! There I was staring at a homemade German Chocolate cake my mother-in-law made for Thanksgiving 2015. I have always been a desserts first kinda girl after praying and chit-chatting with the family. The only thing that was keeping me away from the chocolate cake that year was time. However, I didn't allow my eyes to fill my plate and to not have any stomach room for that cake! Last year, I learned that over eating during the holiday season isn't always a comfy feeling nor was it good for my health.
