Just like countless other millennials, I share my life on social media. I am also one who many who label their best friend in their head. I enjoy being transparent with my life while still making others laugh.

Even though I have never been on a plane or have taken a vacation out of the state or country there are folks that find me and my life to be intriguing. I realized this from the hundreds of people who watch my Instagram stories each day that I post.

Developing genuine and honest friendships is something that many people enjoy! It’s something beautiful about surrounding ourselves with people of similar ambitions, hobbies, lifestyles, or relationship statuses. Many of us love having friendships with people that we admire, learn from, and even challenging us to level up in life.

I used to be hesitant about cutting people off. I made excuses for other people’s actions towards me as if I was always the problem. I never wanted to be that person who left a bad taste in someone’s mouth. You can also say that I was indeed a people pleaser.

If someone’s absence brings you peace of mind, you did not lose anything. In fact, you have gained so much peace, clarity, and strength.
