The first week of January took me by surprise. Coming into this month, I did not have much excitement. With a dash of sadness lingering within my spirit, I was thankful and grateful. I do not know who was praying for my turnaround, but the sudden shift by Wednesday was evident.
I hope that your new year has started off well. This year I wanted to post more on my blog which will be a more controlled environment for me to express my thoughts. In just a matter of a few weeks, I will be graduating from my administrative medical assistant program and taking on a new career.
Dear 2022,
You have been a whirlwind. I learned self-discipline, and detachment in its rawest form. I experienced many thrills that will last a lifetime. When I thought you would have taken me by the hand and skipped with me through a pasture of daisies; you instead pushed me from the highest cliff with all your might laughing as I screamed. With tears racing from my weary brown eyes and my heart pounding to the sound of faith I eagerly made it through.

Flowing from my heart is gratefulness. This holiday season I am grateful for quite a few things. I wanted to create a list of fifteen things that I am wrapping up this 2022 year with a grateful heart for. I believe that many people do not take the time to practice gratitude or reflection.
