September came with its own understanding for lessons, challenges, and a steady reminder that growth is never comfortable. I learned how to keep my journey to myself more than outspoken and shared with others.

I have not been feeling like physically speaking to people about my life. Being silent has been comforting. The nights I share alone with God as my kitchen light kisses the vase on my dining room table with shadows on my living room wall. Allowing my mind to rest and tears to fall has been therapeutic. I have not allowed things to overwhelm or control my outlook on myself or my day. I have been feeling more empowered. More mysterious.

You make time for who and what you want. It can become easy to overlook the simple yet profound act of writing. Yet, during all the hectic things that happen in life there's a timeless practice that holds immense power: writing letters to God.

Write It Down And Burn It | Burning Letters

in , , by Linda B Hurd, November 10, 2020

Write it down. Whatever is troubling, hunting, and unreleased your peace of mind, write it down with your emotions tied to it. Don’t suppress how you feel about whatever it may be, and it can be several things. If you want to release, you must let it go onto paper without hesitation. Feel the fire of it all and grab a lighter and set it ablaze. You will feel so much lighter.

There are times that you want to journal but can not find the words to write out on paper or to type out onto a blank document. It can feel frustrating because there’s a strong desire to want to journal and document your day, but there’s sometimes getting in your way. That something can be the thought of the physical act of journaling. However, audio journaling can help you speak your thoughts without feeling limited to the physical act of writing or typing easily. I have successfully been keeping an audio journal on my phone for over 2 years. I now want to share with you how audio journaling can help you get more into the groove of journaling without compromising your time or urge to recap your day or week.

Have you ever purchased a new journal or notebook and get so excited about writing in it? But wait, you get home and just do not know what to write in your journal. You think and try not to overthink as you stare at the blank pages wondering what you will write. Trust me, I have been there before as a writer and avid journal purchaser.
