7 Amazing Ways to Learn Self Promotion & Suck It Up

in , by Linda B Hurd, September 01, 2018
As of today, we are nine months in 2018. What have you been spending much of your time doing this year? If you are an entrepreneur, brand ambassador, business owner, YouTuber, or just discovering your yearning desire to start your own business this blog post is for you! I am a full-time blogger, YouTuber, freelance writer, and stay at home mother who has a growing blog who found herself one day wondering how can she grow her audience on a wider scale?

I have been blogging on my personal for two and a half years. I made the transition from being a gossip blogger to a lifestyle/personal blogger in the spring of 2016. My gossip site covered everything black celebrity gossip and it was called Gossip in Da’ Gumbo. I was inspiring to become a gossip blogger at the time by Necole Kane, The Jasmine Brand, and Rhymes with Snitch. My personal life was in shambles. I had no friends and was suffering from depression weekly.

I was thinking of a way to start this blog post. Replaying my unspoken words in my mind repeatedly this morning. I laid in bed besides my sleeping baby and prayed to God to start my morning. Before 2018 even arrived, I have been praying to God for mental clarity.

Every night I have very vivid dreams and I mainly use a dream journal to keep track of my dreams (if I can remember) first thing every morning.

I'm not going to sugar coat shit with you. I honestly don't care who judges me from how I choose to grind. My name is Linda Hurd. I am 23 years old and have been married for two years and a half. I am an active YouTuber that does product reviews, gives advice, natural hair videos, and helps motivate people to do better. I go by my nickname Leeny Lynn too! I started this site shefoundstrength.com in the midst of my frustrations of truly chasing my dream. Starting a blog that would empower, inspire, and give girls and woman of all ages to find their inner strength though whatever they could possibly go through in their lives. I always knew that my passion laid within writing, telling stories, and creating legendary work.

About one week ago from today, I received my business cards in my mailbox. I was excited and was feeling as if I  was truly accomplished getting not only my government name on a piece of colorful cardstock, but my passion to write. The same week of ordering my business cards my bank account read $35.56. Someone else in the world, probably would have backed down from placing an order on the site. Working a part-time job and contributing to helping my husband pay the bills can sometimes leave my account close to the negatives. I learned to embrace my struggle. Placing an order for my business cards was going to leave me with only $16.00 dollars and some change. It was a chance that I was willing to take to BRAND myself. Here is why...
