One may not always know a strong woman when they see her. Her presence demands attention. She does not allow for any situation to keep her from moving forward. She may get weak, yet her faith is strong. She knows her worth.

It took me two trips outside to the faucet in front of my home to retrieve three gallons of water. I grew up without any running water in my home. That meant no such thing as a hot water heater. It also meant no such thing as a sink or bathtub. I only interacted with a real bathtub or kitchen while at my auntie's trailer or a friend’s house.

taught me that I must cut mental ties along with physical ties to people. I
felt let down plenty of times. I felt used by my own siblings. I expected actions
from people who did not even think or considered my feelings. I allowed situations
from people to have power over me.
Some folks would be surprised to know that there are people who are in a secret competition with them. The plot twist is that they are still losing the competition they mentally created with you. There are also people that love to compare their growth to others in their niche. For me, the goal is to outdo me!
