You already have what it takes to leave a strong and positive impression on people that you meet for a lifetime. We all know someone that we use to go to school with, dated, or even worked with that had a lasting impression on our views of them.

Chapter 27 Is Here! 27th Birthday Reflection

in , , by Linda B Hurd, January 30, 2020

Gratefulness flows through me. Peace is expelling from my heart. I am now 27. I have learned at 26 that I had a bad habit of pouring from an empty cup. I would oftentimes give more of my time to others in ways that left me depleted.

As you read this blog post, I am still in my pajamas. The morning news is on my television. The windows are all open in my living room, bringing in natural light. My natural hair is in a high slept on puff with a colorful scarf loosely wrapped around my head.

Have you ever purchased a new journal or notebook and get so excited about writing in it? But wait, you get home and just do not know what to write in your journal. You think and try not to overthink as you stare at the blank pages wondering what you will write. Trust me, I have been there before as a writer and avid journal purchaser.

What would you do if you knew that you would not fail? Better yet, what would you do if you knew you would learn a great deal from it, from failing? I understand that failing forward sounds weird to some of y’all; however, it has helped countless people to thrive.

What goes through your mind as your phone alerts you that your boo-thang has hit you up with a text message? You might be smiling hard, containing your excitement, or just curious to see what he wants.

Who doesn’t like a good night’s sleep? Studies have shown that the average person gets about 8 hours of sleep at night. That means that a person will sleep for 229,961 hours in their lifetime, or logically speaking, one-third of their life will be spent asleep

It's no lie that many people will set all types of goals as they enter a new chapter of their lives and a new decade. The feeling of working toward a goal can feel exciting. The eager and willing to move forward can display growth in so many ways.
