What would you do if you did not rely on the opinions or validations from others around you? If that question doesn’t apply to you, what would you do if you gave yourself permission?

These past few days and weeks have been heavy. I have learned to put them down and push them away on a boat. I envision my troubles being carried away to sea as I wave goodbye with a smile. I have learned that it takes more energy to hold onto pain and frustration than what it takes to find methods to let it go. There are people who cannot handle the truth once it’s spoken. Those are the same people then find fault in the one who’s willing to speak it.

You might not think much of how social media could be having a negative impact on how you are currently feeling. You can not pay your bills with free products or social media promotion from a company sharing you on their social media pages. The influencer life that so many people have been losing sleep over and chasing in their daydreams is the lifestyle that hunted in me in my nightmares. So many women are afraid to admit that the influencer lifestyle is not ideal for every woman who’s trying to grow her platform.

Let’s be honest “ghosting” is a real thing that not many popular influencers in their niches talk about! So, you might pitch a brand that you know have received your email and they never reply. You might even get asked for your rate card or press kit by someone from a brand and they never reach back out to work with you.

When Passion Fuels Purpose

There are a lot of popular and influential bloggers, books, and millionaires that will tell you that the key to a meaningful life comes from following your passion.

I have been on YouTube and doing hair product reviews for the past five years. I have learned a lot about keeping my sanity in check. I have learned about my value and self-worth. My time or creativity is not to be wasted or taken for granted. What a lot of influencers won’t tell you is that you should never overexert yourself for nobody’s brand.
